The garrison and leafleting of the workers who work in the Porto Torres industrial plant resumed this morning at dawn. In front of the gates of the Centrale and Mare porters, the confederal unions CGIL, CISL and UIL, together with all the trade federations, metalworkers, construction workers, service and canteen workers, with the involvement of operators in surveillance, transport, cleaning , including chemists, insulators and scaffolders, proclaimed a state of agitation after the stalemate recorded in the meetings held last October 20 and November 9 with the company Eni.

The change of contracts, the fragmentation of orders, the fragmentation of contracts and the reduction of the resources available for the work have weakened and impoverished all workers, many have left the plant, others risk not being able to return.

"On all these issues we have not received the answers we were waiting for - state the territorial secretaries CGIL, CISL and UIL - and therefore it is necessary to start a mobilization to unite the workers that Eni has instrumentally divided into many small contracts and many small companies" .

Workers and trade union organizations strongly ask for the support of local and regional political institutions. "More generally, it is necessary to continue to claim the resumption of investments in green chemicals, - add the unions - the only ones capable of giving certainty to the overall stability of the plant and accelerating and following up on the reclamation of the site, so that what we have chosen in the 2011 ".
