Elly Schlein wins the Pd primaries with over 53 percent of the preferences.
The challenger, Stefano Bonaccini, immediately sent her words of congratulations: «I heard her and congratulated her, good luck for the great responsibility she assumes at the helm of the party. Elly prevailed and I'm available to lend a hand».
As for the number of voters, Pd sources speak of at least 1.3 million voters.
