Elio Germano returns to Sardinia with Teho Teardo, Pier Paolo Pasolini and two dates: the Roman actor will be tomorrow at the Roman Theater of Nora – Pula, guest of La notte dei poeti (8pm), and Monday in Alghero, at the Nuraghe Palmavera ( at 21), to kick off Summer 2023.

And it will be with "The dream of a thing", the music and voice show loosely based on Pasolini's novel and produced by Infinito Teatro-Pierfrancesco Pisani and Argot Produzioni, which arrives on the island under the banner of CeDAC Sardinia. Germano and Teardo, well-known musician and composer, also of film soundtracks, stage the first novel by Pier Paolo Pasolini, written in the post-war years and focused on the friendship between three young Friulians, sons of farm workers, who dream of a better life trying to emigrate abroad: a fresco of 20th-century Italy and the rural world, which recalls extraordinarily current themes, in a suggestive performance.

"To evoke what is happening we will use sounds, surrounding the audience with speakers: it will be an immersive show, in cinematic mode, as if the audience were watching a film", announces Germano.

“Questioning the society of the early 1950s, Pasolini allows us to glimpse what our world will be like, and the contemporaneity of a story set in the post-war period is extraordinary, which proposes a migration in reverse compared to that of our days but with the same themes, starting from the need to leave one's own country to pursue the dream of a better life".
