According to Coldiretti's report on ESWD data, eight water bombs hit southern Sardinia in a single day, damaging the countryside, with crops destroyed and entire artichoke crops lost.
At the infrastructural level, landslides and landslides were recorded and some rural roads were found to be unusable due to intense rainfall and river flooding.
The trade association made it known that all of Italy was hit by a wave of bad weather, but Sardinia was the most affected region, especially in the territories of Siliqua, Quartu, Sarroch and Sant'Anna Arresi.

The result is a damage account that rises to over two billion euros in 2021, including losses in national agricultural production and damage to structures and infrastructures in the countryside ".
“In fact, in many cases, the loss of the seasonal harvest is compounded by damage destined to last over time, as for fruit plants uprooted by the fury of the waters for which - added the organization - it will take years before they can return to produce. We are facing the consequences of climate change also in Italy, where the exceptional nature of atmospheric events is now the norm, with a tendency to tropicalization which manifests itself with a higher frequency of violent events, seasonal delays, short and intense rainfall and the rapid transition from sun to bad weather ".
