Smart working, everything changes . From the first of September, some important innovations arrive to de-bureaucratize a new way of working, which in fact comes into operation after the massive use during the lockdown period.

The rules, introduced with the simplification decree published after August 15th in the Official Gazette, were made operational by a ministerial decree signed by the Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando.

From September we return to the individual agreement that replaces the rules established during the Covid emergency. But employers will not have to communicate employee membership per employee, they will have the possibility to send the names in a simplified way.

Workers who do not adhere to the agreement will have to work in presence, as automatic mechanisms are no longer provided for fragile workers or for those with children under 14.

"The decree - explains the Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando - requires the employer to communicate electronically to the Ministry of Labor the names of the workers and the start and termination dates of work in an agile mode. This is an important provision. which makes the simplification of agile work structural ".

The previous obligation to communicate the individual agreement will therefore be replaced from 1 September by a simple communication of the names of the workers and the start and end date of work in an agile mode .

"It is a first step - we read - with which the communication obligations relating to agile work are made simpler also in the light of the experience gained during the pandemic and responds to a specific request made by the social partners in the National Protocol on work in agile mode for the private sector signed by the Minister of Labor and the social partners on 7 December 2021 ".
