“ Polvere e Gloria ” is born, the unexpected musical union between Andrea Bocelli and Jannik Sinner, to be released on June 20th by Decca Records / Universal Music.
The song is a conversation between generations and between different paths but guided by passion. In “Polvere e Gloria”, between Italian and English, Bocelli lends his warm voice to intense and solemn verses, while Sinner, with a sincere tone, intervenes with passages almost as if they were thoughts spoken out loud. And so, next to the lyrical voice of the tenor, the words of the athlete sound like notes on life: “All you have to do is to be yourself”, “Improve every day”, “Talent doesn't exist, it has to be earned”.
The song, written by Stephan Moccio, Giovanni Caccamo, Alfredo Rapetti Cheope, Andrea Bocelli himself and produced by PPG Pierpaolo Guerrini, is a tribute to the effort but at the same time to the beauty of the journey , to the "thin line that transforms dust into glory".
"Dust and Glory is a hymn to the value of perseverance, to the nobility of daily toil that transforms every uncertain step into part of a larger plan, " Bocelli said. "Sharing this journey with Jannik has been fascinating: different worlds but close in commitment, discipline, and the constant search for authenticity and beauty. And I confess that I have always been a fan of his, fascinated not only by his talent, but also by his humility and his inner strength."
"I am very honored and happy to be part of this project with Andrea, who for thirty years has been a unique and extraordinary voice, a flag of our country in the world. I could never have imagined hearing my voice in one of his songs, all this is a strong emotion ", added the world's number 1 tennis player.
The video clip directed by Gaetano Morbioli that accompanies the song alternates unpublished and private images of the childhood and adolescence of the two protagonists, with very current ones filmed in the Tuscan estate of Maestro Bocelli, which convey the most authentic and intimate dimension of the encounter: between golden fields, silences full of meaning and a setting that smells of home, both are shown without superstructures.
