Double purchase for Alghero rugby amateurs ahead of their debut in the Serie A national championship: flanker Andre Francis Lo Pilato and utility back Ciro Alvarado arrive in Riviera del Corallo.
The Pilate. Born in Australia, but with an Italian passport, he comes from the U19 Academy of the Brumbies. Perfect for his role in the scrum, thanks to a good sporting experience gained from a very young age in the various youth categories of the Australian franchise, he is a versatile player with excellent physical preparation, equipped with all the characteristics necessary for his role. In 2020 he was elected best flanker of the Australian College Championship, played with St. Edmund College in Canberra.
Alvarado. 21-year-old from Rosario (Argentina), also with an Italian passport, arrives to reinforce the algherese back line. Versatile player, suitable to fill multiple roles in the three-quarters, he is also a good footballer. Raised in the Jokey Club Rosario, he was then a member of the Argentina National Academy and the U18 National Team (he participated in the tour in South Africa in 2018). Selected in the Under 20 of the Rosario, he participated in the Argentine national championship of the provinces, highlighting himself for his offensive and defensive skills.
