Double from Soulè and two woodblocks from Mancosu: Cagliari 2-0 down against Frosinone at half-time
Crossbar from penalty and a post for the rossoblù. Nandez is out due to injury
Cagliari in difficulty and not very lucky, with Frosinone going into the break with a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from the Argentine Soulé.
Compared to Salerno, Ranieri inserts Jankto for Oristanio, thus confirming Nandez in defense and Mancosu in the attacking midfield, with Luvumbo as the sole striker. Cagliari tries to take command of the operations, but Frosinone prevails in the dribble. In the 8th minute Scuffet saves a corner from Soulé's attempt. But the Argentine is relentless in the 23rd minute, when he steals the ball from Dossena on the way out and, following an assist from Reinier, scores.
In the 27th minute Turati saves from Goldaniga's header, but Var gets a touch with Soulé's hand. Pairetto awards the penalty, but Mancosu hits the crossbar.
And again Soulé, in the 37th minute, cuts the defense in two and passes Scuffet for the 2-0. In the 40th minute Jankto comes close to the post following an assist from Luvumbo and, as if that wasn't enough, towards the end of the half a muscle problem forces Nandez out, replaced by Zappa. And in the 44th minute Mancosu, assisted by Luvumbo, hits the post. The first half ends 2-0 for the guests.
