Giancarlo Magalli will also be there in the new season, decidedly renewed, of the Don Matteo series. Rai fiction, which after 20 years has to give up its star performer Terence Hill, replaced by Raoul Bova, will also be able to count on the conductor who left “I Fatti Vostri”.

Magalli himself announced the start of filming on his social profiles. Thinking that the conductor twenty years ago should have really played Don Matteo, but refused to stay close to his family: "Don Matteo is my regret", he was able to tell in the past, "I refused because I didn't feel like staying eight months in Gubbio away from home ".

Some trains sometimes come back, and this time Magalli did not want to miss the appointment, even if it will only be the "shoulder" of the protagonist, who is Don Massimo played by Raoul Bova.

"Dear friends, I wanted to share with you that on Monday morning a new adventure begins for me, another of those things that make my work always new (at least for some time) and always exciting. I start shooting the new Don series. Matteo, in which I will play the role of the Bishop, friend and confidant of the new priest who will take the place of Don Matteo of Terence Hill: Raoul Bova ”, Magalli writes on his Facebook profile.

"My character - he continues - is very beautiful, wise and human, and I hope to interpret him well. We are friends with Raoul and have known each other for many years, since we dubbed Disney's 'Hercules' together, he lending his voice to Hercules and me to Philoctetes. We are very happy to meet again and to work together again ”.
