Dinamo Women fought with everything they had, but without Richards (who was sidelined as a precaution) they had to surrender to highly-rated Campobasso: the final score was 68-76 at the PalaSerradimigni.
At the start of the match, Debora Carangelo was awarded the MVP of the women's Legabasket for the month of October by the president of the Sardinian FIP, Tore Serra.
The game started with five points from former player Makurat, but Sassari responded with a 13-4 run thanks to Treffers inside the paint and three-pointers from the outside. Dinamo Women even reached a six-point lead with Boros, but Giachetti responded with a strong impact off the bench with three bombs and a fast break: 20-20. The run continued in the second quarter, also because Sassari struggled against the Molise defense: 22-32 at the 15th minute. Turel stopped the visitors' run with two bombs. The zone press also worked, allowing them to win back a few balls and get to within one.
Campobasso still managed to maintain a lead that became elastic, between one and three baskets, as Dinamo Women made shots to tie the game: 52-60 at the end of the third quarter. In the final quarter, the home team ended up within 10. They relied on the 3-2 zone, but the Molise team didn't let up on defense, and only Treffers (21 points) found the basket. On offense, they then took advantage of Grey's size in the paint to secure the victory, despite Turel's pride (11 points).
