Fought and painful, but the victory of Dinamo Sassari over Varese for 104-99 is very precious. Patience if it was not a defensive game but with the attacks in great shape, it is too important to beat a direct competitor for salvation, which from the absence of Alessandro Gentile (suspended) took the leadership of the Keene-Kell duo 61 points two. More Sassari team that has had many protagonists in waves: Robinson and Kruslin at the start, then Treier, then Burnell and Logan in the fiery final. But also the defense of Diop and Gentile and the constancy of Bendzius even in a not excellent shooting evening.

Curiosity: a Sassari also in the Varese team, Lorenzo Mele, born in 2005, son of the general manager Pinuccio who together with his father Luciano managed the company in the period between Milia and Sardara, obtaining promotion to the top flight.

Varese is better at the start with the former Cagliari Keene who goes to double figures immediately: 10-15 in the 4 '.

The first half rewards the attacks more than the defenses, aggressive more on the face than of true intensity.

The entries of Kruslin and especially of Robinson produce a 13-0 break that turns the match upside down: +8. Varese calls the area and the home attack is embarrassed: 25 even.

Banco tries to escape with Treier's two triples in the second half: 44-37 at 16 '. The Mekowulu center, however, after a good start combines disasters in series and the guests return with Jones and go on before the rest: 48-50.

In the third quarter Varese remains in the zone and Sassari misses a few open shots, with Kruslin what strength. Kell takes off: 56-59 at 25 '. Burnell starts to score in tap-in, but Keene with the triples and Kell with the entrances move away despite the 3-2 zone called by Bucchi: -8 at the end of the third quarter.

In the last quarter Dinamo drops to -10 before the reaction with an atypical quintet: inside the bench and only Burnell from the starting five, who with tap-in and rebounds makes himself felt in the area. Logan helps him. The run is 16-0: 85-79 in the 36th minute with Burnell crushing on the counterattack.

But Kell and De Nicolao provoke the overtaking: 89-93 in the 38th minute.

The final is of Burnell who takes a capital offensive rebound and Logan who scores triple and two free for +3. Then Keene misses the triple of the draw and Logan goes to dunk for the blaze.
