Dinamo and Esperia played a productive scrimmage match at the PalaSerradimigni. The scrimmage was free of scoreboards and the score was reset after each quarter, precisely because it wasn't an official friendly, but rather a rehearsal for the start of their respective league seasons on Sunday, September 27th. Both teams will play away games: in Serie A2, the Sassari team will play against Urania, led by the Gentile brothers, in Milan; in Serie B, the Cagliari team will play in Monferrato.

The visitors were without new Ukrainian signing Ilya Tyrtyshnyk, who arrives tomorrow, and center Riccardo Carta. Coach Luca Vitali had four absentees: his brother Michele, point guards Kajami-Keane and Pisano, and guard Grande.

Coach Manca's Esperia team approached the game better. Their pace was impressive, thanks to the personality and responsiveness of former Sassari point guard Ezio Gallizzi, who, along with big man De Gregori, helped them win the first quarter. From the second quarter onwards, Banco began to improve their defense and, led by Riismaa (the best at getting into the game early), they won the quarter by a landslide.

In the third quarter, there were some flashes of brilliance from Young and Monaldi, while in the final quarter, both teams showed more balance and used zone defense.
