The new meeting of the Dialogues of Archeology, Architecture, Art and Landscape Cultural Center, curated by Maria Antonietta Mongiu and Francesco Muscolino, is dedicated to "The crucifix of Pinuccio Sciola in the Basilica of San Saturnino".

The appointment is for Thursday 3 March at 5 pm in streaming on the page of the Cultural Center and on UnioneSarda.it. Pamela Ladogana, professor of Contemporary Art History at the University of Cagliari and member of the Scientific Committee of the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari, will speak.

Sciola's work summarizes the Sardinians' relationship with stones and with the sounds of nature: the well-known artist, through the cuts, was able to "dialogue" with the stones and transform them into extraordinary instruments.

The wooden crucifix of the Basilica of San Saturnino was made in the late seventies and its reading, through iconographic and stylistic analysis, allows us to detect peculiarities that refer to the medieval iconography of the painful Gothic crucifix, very common in Sardinia.
