Just eleven days after undergoing surgery at the San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro , and well ahead of schedule, Alessandro Deiola has returned to training with the team. He did so in today's session, the day before Cagliari-Juventus, and tomorrow it will be clear whether he will be eligible for the Serie A matchday six, scheduled for Sunday at 8:45 PM. This is a very quick return, given that he was initially scheduled to miss all of October's fixtures.

Deiola had used the three-week international break to address a long-standing issue: tests had revealed a tear in the lateral meniscus of his left knee . So, on September 29, the Cagliari captain underwent a selective arthroscopic external meniscectomy performed by Professor Massimiliano Salvi.

Kevin Carlos (recovering from a low-grade quadriceps injury in his left thigh, having missed last Saturday's friendly against Rayo Vallecano) was partially involved in a tactical session on the pitch, and he's also aiming to be called up for Cagliari-Juventus. Tomorrow, there's a morning finishing session, followed by Fabio Pisacane's press conference at 12:30.
