From the Region forty million euros to Sardinian farmers "to cope with the high prices that weigh on raw materials".

The support measure prepared by the Executive comes with an amendment to the regional budget: "We maintain the commitments we have made with the countryside, which rightly asks the Region for extraordinary support to overcome the crisis and remain competitive", explains Governor Christian Solinas. : "It is an immediate and concrete intervention among the most important in recent years and of an extent not found in other Italian Regions in support of the livestock world, the dairy and meat cattle sector and the sheep and goat sector, which are suffering in particular 'abnormal and uncontrolled increase in the costs of raw materials. We are working to hesitate in the short term for further measures to support the cereals and fruit and vegetables sector, exhausted by the price increases and the particular climatic adversities of this season. This is a new massive injection of liquidity to give oxygen to the sector, after the four million just destined for pig farmers. We have not forgotten the Arborea center, which represents Sardinian excellence at an international level ".

In detail, the amendment provides for a financial endowment of 40 million euros (17.5 million for cattle and 22.5 million for sheep and goats) with a direct subsidy system.

"We will certainly not stop there," adds President Solinas. "The rural world represents a primary wealth of Sardinia and has been waiting for an overall and organic relaunch for too long. This is the first step of a great relaunch project that provides systematic support to Sardinian farms with a structural reduction in production costs. . A relaunch also in quantitative terms, because our goal is to re-cultivate Sardinia by bringing young people back to the countryside, towards agriculture and livestock. But this goal - continues Solinas - can only be achieved by making it competitive and attractive again. the Sardinian agricultural and livestock enterprise. After the livestock farms, new measures are also imminent for the fruit and vegetable and cereal sectors. We are keeping the promises made by continuing to do our part because our rural world can no longer wait. the next step will be the result of a frank and open discussion with agricultural and zoote entrepreneurs cnici and with their trade organizations, in a constructive climate of collaboration between the business world and institutions. A new season of dialogue that leads to making the work of our companies easier, also with the elimination of bureaucracy that slows down the practical application of support for the countryside ”.

"The Region, today more than ever - concludes Solinas - is close to the world of agricultural and livestock farms, to which it looks with gratitude and admiration, with the awareness that there can be no virtuous economy in Sardinia without the precious work, the result of many sacrifices , of those who work in the countryside keeping an activity that is not only economic, but also tradition and culture ".
