Farmers and ranchers take to the streets against high prices, even in Sardinia. Not only to protest, but also with the aim of supporting the mobilization with concrete proposals to support the Sardinian agri-food sector.

The appointment is for tomorrow morning in piazzale Trento in Cagliari, where a thousand farmers and breeders from all over the island are expected (from 9 am).

The procession will parade along Viale Trento to stop in Piazza del Carmine in front of the territorial office of the government "where the discomfort will manifest itself - specify by Coldiretti - that thousands of farms are living after two years of Covid". An inconvenience "which has added to the historical problems (bureaucracy, distorted supply chains, climate change) and to which an uncontrolled high price has been added for a few months, which has caused production costs to rise without a consequent increase in the remuneration of products farmers, and especially for some agricultural sectors ".

In difficult moments like this, "however, everyone's contribution is needed" still specify by Coldiretti, and therefore concrete proposals will be presented tomorrow morning and "delivered to the representative of the Territorial Office of the Government, to the Prefect of Cagliari, to the president of the Regional Council, as well as to the President of the Regional Council, to all the Presidents of the council groups and to the Regional Councilors ".
