The increase in the cost of bills touches 75 percent in Sardinia compared to 2021. An estimate provided by Confartigianato Sardegna which also raises the alarm on the tax credit: "The economy risks collapsing due to the documents requested: it is urgent to simplify ".

Considering August, Sardinian companies and households faced an increase in the prices of electricity, gas and other fuels equal to an average of 75.6 percent compared to the same period last year. The greatest increase was recorded in Olbia-Tempio with + 73.6%; followed by the province of Sassari with + 64.7% and Cagliari with + 66.4%.

"The umpteenth increase in energy costs announced this month puts us in front of an unprecedented emergency because we risk a real economic and entrepreneurial catastrophe - say Maria Amelia Lai and Daniele Serra , president and secretary of Confartigianato Sardegna - The next Executive must act immediately because thousands of businesses could close. If the state does not have the resources it is essential to use European funds for
immediately reduce the cost of bills ".

The other urgency concerns the request for intervention “on the tariff composition with a structural measure to reduce general charges in the bill and their financing through other forms of revenue. We cannot face autumn and winter with the risk that the expensive bill will lead us towards a new recession, after the efforts that the production system is doing to try to 'stay open' ".

Lai and Serra further add: "If on the one hand the Government has introduced a mechanism through which the single company can access a tax credit , on the other hand there is a mechanism with enormously complex and discriminatory procedures towards a good part of small businesses that do not qualify for access but also suffer from it
hallucinating price increases ".

"To request the tax credit, in fact, too many documents are required and the calculations are too complex, a real bureaucratic madness: the procedure is exhausting and, above all, the company must first pay the invoices to only subsequently discount its credit within the end of the year".
