An unexpected crowd welcomed Cagliari on its first public outing after the long seclusion in Asseminello.

Hundreds of fans welcomed the rossoblù in Piazza Colombo in Costa Rei. Opening the party were the two managers present, director general Melis and director Bonato, who recalled the last two exciting seasons. «And now», explained Bonato, «we aim to consolidate ourselves in Serie A».
