A great recognition for genre literature by island authors: the Elias Mandreu collective yesterday won the Readers' Award - City of Lignano Sabbiadoro Award of the Giorgio Scerbanenco Award with the crime novel "Mantene s'odiu - Ricordati di odiare" published by Piemme.

Behind the Elias Mandreu acronym are Eugenio Annicchiarico (regional official) and the Mauro brothers (judge, president of the Court of Nuoro) and Andrea Pusceddu , engineer of the Remosa of Cagliari. An important moment for the three authors brought to success by the Nuoro publishing house Il Maestrale (which continues to prove itself an excellent talent factory) with two excellent novels (their debut exceeded 10 thousand copies) and with this title passed to the Milanese publishing house of the Mondadori group. The recognition will be officially awarded next Monday, December 2, in Milan in the wonderful Casa Manzoni by the councilor for culture of the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

On the same day, the overall winner (or winner) of the Giorgio Scerbanenco Award will be announced among the five finalists composed of Cinzia Bomoll with “Il sangue non mente” (Ponte alle Grazie), Carlo Calabrò, with “Meccanica di un addio” Marsilio, Jacopo De Michelis who signs “La montagna nel lago” (published by Giunti), Paolo Roversi with “Una morte onore” (Mondadori) and Orso Tosco author of “L'ultimo pinguino delle Langhe” for Rizzoli. “Mantene s'odiu” is a perfect narrative mechanism in which the present and past of the island's criminal scene linked to the kidnapping season merge.
