"A Sardinia rich in territories that know how to plan and work together to create their own economic future, based on cultural and environmental peculiarities, for an idea of tourism in line with the policies of the regional council. The Region intends to support and support excellence Sardinian administrations, the administrations that courageously break the parochialism and network, proposing themselves in a unified manner and building proposals and services that are credible on the international market. Ours is an island with many realities to be made known and valued and each acquires tourist potential if inserted in the context of an integrated offer of services, always respectful of our culture and our traditions ".

This was stated by the Tourism Councilor, Gianni Chessa, who went to Florence for the seventh international exhibition of archaeological tourism "TourismA".

The island has showcased some of its tourist offers, thanks to a quality archaeological and cultural heritage.

"We must all work together to be more prepared, to improve ourselves and to overcome difficulties - he added -. Therefore I wanted to be close to the realities that came together at the Fair: the Union of Municipalities of Trexenta, the Municipality of Oniferi, the newly founded Mont'e Prama and Romanesque Foundations, representing the more than eighty municipalities that have chosen to create a supply chain. We return from Florence with a double cultural challenge, thanks to the two great eras that characterize the history of the island: the great Nuragic civilization , exhibited even with the reconstruction in natural size of one of the tombs of the giants of Arzachena, and the great Judicial and Romanesque Middle Ages, with its over 180 churches, its inhabited villages and their history, still to be discovered in that great laboratory of archaeological culture that is Sardinia ".
"We must create the conditions in Sardinia for the economic world of international cultural and archaeological tourism to come to Sardinia and experience it directly. Therefore, after the excellent results of 'Archeologika' and the traveling exhibition 'Sardegna Megalithica', which is now in the museum of St. Petersburg, before arriving in Thessaloniki and Naples, we decided to design and finance an international fair of cultural and archaeological tourism, which hosts the world in Sardinia and imposes the island in the world ", concluded the representative of the Giunta Solinas.
