In January, inflation in Sardinia reached +1.7%. Translated into money, the annual increase for each family resident on the island is equal, on average, to 329 euros.

This is the result of an analysis by the National Consumers Union , based on Istat data released today, which takes into consideration the regions, provincial capitals and major Italian cities.

Looking at the largest centers of the island, in Cagliari inflation in January touched two percentage points (+1.9%), with an average annual increase per family of 395 euros . In the ranking of the most expensive cities in Italy, the Sardinian capital is placed 29th out of 78.

Sassari is instead in 58th place, with inflation at +1.5% (like the national average) and an average annual increase per family of 302 euros.

Again: Olbia-Tempio records an inflation of +1.6% and an average annual increase of 322 euros. At a national level, the average annual increase is instead equal to 353 euros.

At the top of the list of the most expensive cities is Bolzano where the trend inflation of +2.5%, the second highest in Italy after Syracuse (+2.6%) and tied with Rimini and Imperia, translates into the highest additional annual expenditure, equivalent to 724 euros for an average family.

"On the other side of the ranking - explains the National Consumers Union - unfortunately there is no longer any city in deflation. The most virtuous city in Italy is Lodi, where with +0.5%, the lowest inflation in Italy, there is an annual increase of 131 euros . In second place is Florence, where the second lowest inflation, +0.6%, determines a higher cost of 157 euros. Bronze medal for Forlì-Cesena, +0.7% and +190 euros".

At the top of the list of the most "expensive" regions, with an annual inflation of +2.3%, Trentino records an average increase per family of 654 euros on an annual basis . Lazio follows (+1.9%, +464 euros) and in third place Emilia Romagna (+1.7%, +449 euros). Sardinia is in 12th place, while the most economical region is Valle d'Aosta .
