A clumsy protagonist struggling with the scenery, between musical and circus numbers: this is " Control Freak ", the one-man show by performance artist Kulu Orr , arriving on the island's stages this week thanks to Cedac Sardegna . The tour will begin with a show on Tuesday 24th at the Teatro del Segno in Cagliari , at 8:30 pm in via Piovella 28A , continuing on Wednesday at the same time at the Teatro Akinu Congia in Sanluri (inside the park on via Azuni ) and then concluding in Alghero at 9 pm on Thursday , on stage at the Teatro Civico .
With coordination and Italian distribution by Vittorio Stasi and the collaboration of Imarts , Orr will bring his latest work, in which he both directs and stars, to the three Sardinian centers. Blending circus, live music, comedy, and technology with unexpected choreography , Orr gives voice and body to a clumsy yet almost endearing character, struggling against stage props, disobedient machines, and even his own movements, eventually putting all three to sleep in a succession of games, lights, and sounds that bring a breathtaking performance to life . A work in which every mistake becomes another surprise, and the audience is not just a spectator, but an accomplice to his tribute to the power of play .
The author, who lives and works between Europe and the Middle East, has dedicated himself over the last twenty-five years to two seemingly opposing fields : mastering circus arts, music, and theater on the one hand, and studying physics, computer science, and audiovisual manipulation on the other. "Control Freak" is the fruit of this extensive research, a synthesis of his career in high-tech and his artistic production , which has already been successfully applied to the theater in the past.
