Controversial back and forth between the opposition and the regional council on territorial continuity and air connections to Sardinia

After the attacks of the minority, who accuse the Region of "inadequacy" and "hesitation" in solving the problems concerning flights and mobility, the response of the governor Christian Solinas arrives, who, in a note, replies: "On the continuity denied to Sardinians we witness daily the attempt of political exploitation of a battle that should instead lead to unity and sharing of intentions, for the good of our land».

Solinas also recalls the «continuous discussions with Europe, which is the best representation of the efforts that the Region has put in place to protect and defend a model of continuity based on a single or at least protected tariff for non-residents, and a size proportionate to the needs of mobility and connectivity".

But, Solinas underlines, «due to the punctual response of all the Commission's observations and the continuous dialogue, production of analyses, reports and documentation, the Region of Sardinia has recorded, from the beginning of the Legislature to today, a closure by the European Commission . And this is an irrefutable truth."

In fact, adds the governor, "despite the fact that the Region has always supported the single tariff, considered highly questionable by Europe for non-residents, and the need for a size proportionate to the needs of mobility and connectivity, the position of the European Commission has always proven to be rigid: no to the single tariff, no to an increase in flights».
