The final touches to the flight plan were made last Friday: Ita Airways added a daily frequency on the connections with Rome and Milan scheduled yesterday and today, and also reinforced the final part of the counter-exodus with other aircraft, between 31 August and 2 September.

But the extra flights weren't enough: within a few hours almost all the tickets disappeared from circulation , engulfed by travel agencies, returning tourists and passengers who in this August queue have to travel for work or health reasons.

In the week starting today, there are very few places available on the territorial continuity routes departing from Cagliari.

"We will evaluate further interventions to increase the capacity of the aircraft, we monitor the situation every day together with the Region - they let Ita Airways know - but as was also underlined during the last meeting of the monitoring committee , the tender is undersized compared to the real needs of mobility and the traffic demand encountered above all in the summer months ».

And in fact, compared to the territorial continuity model in force until two years ago, the difference is clear: the reduction in frequencies has reached 44% in some cases, and the minimum number of seats per day has also dropped (-27%).

Insufficient numbers, which in these days of counter-exodus highlight even more the limits of territorial continuity . There are hundreds of Sardinians who risk remaining on the ground.
