«I am very respectful of the specificity of Sardinia, of its demands as an autonomous region that wants to choose its destiny without being conditioned by Rome».

The leader of the 5 Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte, said this during the press point organized during his visit to the Coldiretti Campagna Amica market in Pitz'e Serra, in Quartu. This stage comes after the meeting with the operators of the San Benedetto market in Cagliari.

Conte is on the island to push Campo Largo candidate Alessandra Todde. And he underlines: «The PD-5 Star alliance in Sardinia is certainly an experiment that has led to a serious, credible project, with progressive and civic forces that have worked intensely for a cohesive program with shared objectives».

The five-star leader underlines that Alessandra Todde was chosen by the coalition forces in Sardinia, «in full autonomy. And she is the best interpreter of the coalition, of which we as M5s are proud: she is serious, competent, capable and honest."

There was also criticism of the government's action on differentiated autonomy: "This government is destroying the country in order to please all its allies."
