The share of unobtainable workers out of the total expected hires is 47.9%, a sharp increase compared to 40.3% a year ago, July 2022.

«A phenomenon – explains the association – widespread throughout Italy and in all sectors, from traditional ones to digital and hi-tech activities. A growing emergency everywhere , in the last year the share of hard-to-find workers rose by 9.1 points in the South, 6.9 in the Centre, 7.4 in the North-West and 6.5 in the North-East».

Sifting through the regional data, the share of workers who cannot be found in Sardinia is slightly lower than the national average, at 46%, showing strong growth compared to 37.6% a year ago . The black jersey belongs to Trentino, with 61.6% of personnel difficult to find, followed by Valle d'Aosta with 57.1% and Umbria with 54.6%. The lowest shares are in Lazio (40.8%), Campania (41.9%) and Puglia (42.2%).

The largest increases compared to July 2022 are recorded in Abruzzo (+11.5%), Calabria (+10.9%), Liguria (+10.8%), Puglia (+10.5%).
