Yazaki Italia - an automotive multinational based in Grugliasco, in the province of Turin - "fired three workers on the spot through a phone call on the Teams platform, immediately removing them from their workplace and denying them all access, relocating their business to Portugal . One of these, among other things, was the corporate RSU ".

Filcams-Cgil and Fisascat-Cisl unions made it known in a press release, to which former employees of the company reported the fact.

The workers' representatives asked the company to immediately revoke the decision and open a discussion.

According to the acronyms, the company had given reassurances about its future in Italy during a trade union meeting that took place last September, following the opening of the state of agitation.

The Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando intervened on the case: "It is not fair that a dismissal can fall like a tile from the roof on the head of those who pass. Today there is news of a company located in the Turin belt in which workers have been fired on Teams. It is not possible for this to happen, it does not correspond to the indications of our Constitution and above all it throws away a heritage that has been built with effort. We cannot become a country where people come for holidays, but a country which must maintain an industrial heritage ".
