The forecast of an additional 23 million euros per year for the agricultural sector for the three-year period 2023/2025 is good, but « a substantial increase in resources is needed for interventions on 'integrated production' and 'organic production', with a revision of the unit amounts, in particular for horticultural crops and tree crops with the aim of encouraging greater participation of companies in these sectors in these interventions".

This was underlined by Coldiretti Sardinia, with its president, Battista Cualbu , and the regional director, Luca Saba , who participated by participating in the Green Table which was held this morning via videoconference with the Region.

On the agenda are the proposals on the allocation of resources provided for by the latest 2023 Stability Law, 69 million euros in total.

COLDIRETTI – According to the association, in the expected sector policies " decisive interventions on investments are needed considering the serious delays on tenders ". «It is essential – specify the president and director – to plan the release of the notices on an annual basis, thus avoiding the use of late scrolling years after the submission of the applications».

CATTLE – Another issue on which Coldiretti is asking for immediate intervention is that of tenders for beef cattle foreseen as regional aid to livestock enterprises. «Even today - say the president and director - the notice with the interventions planned to support companies after the price increases caused by the effects of the war in Ukraine and Covid has not been published. Despite the forecast in the 2022 Budget of 8 million euros for the sector, there is still no news of these funds and we are strongly concerned about the incomprehensible delay in the implementation of a measure that was adopted by the Regional Council as an emergency 18 months ago and which, now, risks going bankrupt."

SHEEP AND GOAT - Coldiretti also reminds you that the work on payments for sheep and goats has not yet been fully concluded (based on compensation for increases in production costs) and the reopening of the tender for farms interested in taking over the company is awaited.

DROUGHT – On the aid front for the 2017 drought, Coldiretti instead asks the Region for the reasons why the request of 300 companies was deemed inadmissible following the failure to exceed the threshold of 30% of the damage, despite the law providing for its liquidation under the “de minimis” regime.

OTHER TOPICS - Among Coldiretti's requests also those to clarify the implementation times of measure 5.2 of the PSR for compensation against the damage caused by the fires in Montiferru and Marmilla and the immediate adoption of interventions for aid in sectors other than livestock farming on Covid and war in Ukraine, where it is necessary to provide an automated system for managing investigations and paying requests. Finally, we ask for information on the development of the Siar platform, which is fundamental for the correct planning of national and community resources.
