A series of meetings and discussions between the Sardinia Region and Minister Raffaele Fitto, who has the delegation to the Pnrr, to try to recover the funds of the Development and Cohesion Fund which have not been spent so far, amounting to a figure between 80 and 300 million of Euro.

They are the ones put on the agenda by Alessandra Todde and her council, in light of the "need to renegotiate some closures compared to the old programming of the fund to avoid money being deducted due to bad planning and bad spending " by the previous administration.

This is, the governor explained during an event to present the M5S candidates for the European elections, a considerable amount, "which has not been spent" and which will be the subject of "debate and possibly battle" with the central government , to which the Todde council intends to present a "project review" with the aim of avoiding the "cut".

“We are confident – added the governor – that we will be able to bring to the attention of the minister a more organic vision of how the fund should be used”.

Certainly, Todde concluded, "it is not the best way to start a new program, we would have liked to find money already spent in order to have more, rather than having to justify why it was not spent" and, therefore, proceed to a new negotiation . Negotiations that will begin at the end of May with a meeting between officials, which will then be followed by a direct "face to face" meeting between the governor and the minister.
