It was only a classical high school when it was attended by the future presidents of the Republic Segni and Cossiga and by the future secretary of the PCI Berlinguer. But for some years it has also offered two outlets thanks to the music course and the one - unique on the island - dedicated to dance .

On Saturday from 4pm to 7.30pm the Azuni high school in Sassari will open its doors to third year middle school students and their families with the Open Day.

In the institute's headquarters, in via Rolando 4, the teachers and students will present the educational offer of the classical, musical and dance high school, illustrating the various theoretical-practical activities to future students and guiding them to discover the classrooms and laboratories of one of the most prestigious buildings in the city.

The classic course will present the traditional study plan and the logical-philosophical path , enhanced with additional hours of mathematics, philosophy and science, in addition to the biomedical course which reserves a section for those oriented towards healthcare professions.

The musical course, which can be accessed with a selection, will offer a wide choice of teachings among all the instruments of the orchestra , individual study by soloists and various ensembles, for a course that includes vocal choirs, a string orchestra and one for jazz, with students who, together with their teachers, perform in the main musical events of the area, collaborating with the city opera house, the conservatory, public institutions and private associations.

The dance course, the only one of its kind in Sardinia, will illustrate a training course which also includes collaboration in dance performances at important events and which has allowed many graduates to access some of the most prestigious academic courses in Italy and all 'abroad.

During the Open Day , the projects, workshops and courses of the Azuni high school dedicated to international mobility programs and the Latin and Greek "certamina" and debates will also be illustrated with brochures, films, exhibitions, performances of music, dance and interactive games. of philosophy, competitions in mathematics, physics, science and sport, as well as the production of texts and audiovisual materials in extracurricular activities of communication, cinema and theatre.
