Sardinia is once again a major player at an international level in wine competitions.
In Rome in the “Giulio Cesare” Council Chamber, on the Campidoglio , in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, the Mayors of Italy and the national wineries, the Regional Councilor for Agriculture of the Solinas council, Valeria Satta, awarded the Sardinian companies present at the international wine competition promoted by the National Association "Città del Vino".
«Our Island - Councilor Satta said - was once again a great protagonist, represented by 36 companies, with a total of 99 wines in the competition. Sardinian wines obtained a total of 28 medals . A great gold medal, 20 gold medals, 7 silver medals (in the categories reserved for Organic, Sparkling, Nebbiolo and volcanic wines). I thank the regional coordinator of the Città del Vino Association, Giovanni Antonio Sechi, for the work done, for the commitment made in the area and all the leading wineries for the courageous choices and for the brand quality of this sector so important for the regional economy . Once again Sardinia confirms its weight in the wine sector on the world scene».
