The number of Sardinian citizens receiving basic income or basic pension is decreasing .

Based on the data just released by the INPS Observatory, on the island there were a total of 63,333 households benefiting from the two subsidies during 2022, against 65,751 the previous year.

In detail, there were 57,682 Sardinian families who collected at least one month's salary from the state income during the year just ended, against 59,400 in 2021 . There are a total of 114,303 people involved in the benefit, for an average monthly amount of over 536 euros.

As for the citizenship pension , in 2022 5,651 Sardinian households collected it at least once, against 6,351 the previous year. In this case the average monthly amount per family is 307.41 euros.

At the national level, underlines the INPS, in 2022 the beneficiaries of at least one month's Citizenship Income (RdC) or Citizenship Pension (PdC) were 1.69 million, for a total of 3.6 million people involved.

In December 2022, there were 1.17 million beneficiary households of RdC/PdC (1.05 million RdC and 123 thousand PdC), with 2.48 million people involved (2.35 million RdC and 139 thousand PdC) and a average amount disbursed at national level of 549 euros (580 euros for the RdC and 291 euros for the PdC).

«The audience of recipients of citizen income and citizen pension - finally highlights the Social Security Institute - is made up, again in December 2022, of 2.20 million Italian citizens, 201 thousand non-EU citizens with EU residence permits, 84,000 European citizens, 3,600 family members of the previous categories or holders of international protection".
