Great cinema is the protagonist once again at the Tavolara festival "A night in Italy" , now in its 33rd edition .

The appointment is from 11 to 16 July , with a loyal audience that reaches the homonymous island only by sea for the weekend screenings . At the helm of all the evenings on the calendar the presenter Geppi Cucciari , who will also moderate the meetings with the public and with the guests of the festival. With her also Piera Detassis and Stefania Ulivi , in the enchanting Gramsci square in Porto San Paolo , where this year a photographic tribute will be paid to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Gianmaria Volontè .

San Teodoro instead – in piazza Mediterraneo, at the tourist office – will host the photographic exhibition “ Landscapes of Italian cinema ”. The two exhibitions are curated by Antonio Maraldi of the Cesena Cinema center. This edition's Festival began on 10 June at the La cupola theater in San Teodoro, with a meeting with Salvatore Mereu and Gianluca Arcopinto , who preceded the Dorgalese director's vision of Bentu . On 10 and 11 June in Olbia, at the Argonauti Polytechnic, the workshop "Producing and organizing cinema" held by Gianluca Arcopinto was held.

In Porto San Paolo, in Piazzetta Gramsci, a tribute to Giorgio Gaber was held on 23 June, with the show Gaber, monologues and songs, with Neri Marcorè and Domenico Mariorenzi. The appointments continue on June 28 in Porto Rotondo – at the Ceroli amphitheater – with the screening of the film La terra delle donne, directed by Marisa Vallone, in the presence of the leading actress Paola Sini.

The official opening of the Festival will be on 11 July at 9 pm at the Peschiera di San Teodoro with the screening of the film Mixed by Erry , directed by Sydney Sibilia in the presence of the actors Luigi D'oriano and Cristiana Dell'Anna , introduced by Geppi Cucciari and Piera Detassis. On July 12th , again at the Peschiera di San Teodoro, the tribute to the great Gigi Riva with the film In the sky a rumble of thunder - Gigi Riva directed by Riccardo Milani who will present the film on July 13th , in the Gramsci square in Porto San Paolo , the David di Donatello 2023 winning short The Variable Employees by Lorenzo Tardella will be presented, which will accompany his work and to follow the David di Donatello 2023 winning documentary The Circle by director Sophie Chiarello. Francesca Cima, producer of the film for Indigo Film, will also be present with her.

From 14th to 16th July the screenings will be on the island of Tavolara: On 14th July we will see the debut of Davide Gentile with his Denti da Squalo . On 15 July Paolo Virzì's film Siccità will be screened accompanied by two extraordinary performers: Tommaso Ragno and Emanuela Fanelli , awarded best supporting actress at the David di Donatello 2023 . On July 16, the 2023 edition of Una Notte in Italia will close with the David di Donatello 2023 winning film The eight Mountains directed by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch , based on the Strega-awarded novel by Paolo Cognetti preceded by the exclusive images of "A special photographic journey behind the scenes of the set", signed by Alberto Novelli, historic photographer of A night in Italy. To celebrate the 2023 edition of Una notte in Italia, the T-shirts will be made with a design by the great stylist Antonio Marras.
