Three wins out of three for the Italians in the Champions League. Milan wins 3-2 in Slovakia, on the pitch of Slovan Bratislava, and takes home three points that are essential for progressing to the next round. Not a very convincing performance for the Rossoneri, who nevertheless take home the result on the pitch of a Slovan still stuck at 0 points in the maxi group of 36 teams.

Milan are saved thanks to a miraculous intervention by Pavlovic at the beginning of the match and in the 21st minute they take the lead with Pulisic. Three minutes later another blunder by Fonseca's defense and the Slovakians equalize with Barseghyan. It takes the entry of Leao, left on the bench at the beginning of the match, to put Milan back in the lead in the 68th minute with a lob assisted by Fofana. Just three minutes pass and Abraham makes it 3-1 courtesy of the Slovakian defense, collecting an unfortunate back pass. In the 88th minute Slovan scores again with Marcelli, but the Slovakians are no longer able to create any danger and during injury time they are also down to 10 men.

With 9 points and three easy games to play, the Rossoneri can quickly secure their passage to the next round. And also hope for a place among the top 8, which guarantees direct access to the round of 16 of the top European competition.

In the evening, victories for Inter (1-0 at home against Leipzig thanks to an own goal) and Atalanta (goalfest on the Young Boys pitch, 1-6 with braces from De Ketelaere and Retegui, the other goals from Kolasinac and Samardzic).

Inzaghi's team flies to 13 points at the top of the single group, they can be overtaken only by Liverpool who tonight hosts Real Madrid. Atalanta, with 11 points, is fourth and at the moment would directly qualify for the round of 16.
