A journey through places, the environment, relationships, faced through the eyes of the child who is (still) in each of us, but also with the feelings of adults who consciously decide to build a future perspective for the community . Throughout the island, affected by a strong depopulation and an aging of the resident population, social relationships and community ties resist which are nourished, daily, by the cultural and identity roots that even the singing groups (as many as 15 in the Marghine ) protect and procrastinate over time.

It is a video art production made by volunteers and enthusiasts, with professional directors and technicians, which aims to help inspire the possibility of growing, as Individuals and as a Community, in the construction of a Collective Future even in the territories most affected by the phenomena of emigration and abandonment. The life paths, the intense relationship between the generations, typical of the Sardinian social system, the strong link with the environment and the ancestral beauty of the places, are told through images while the singing and the melodies of the singing groups accompany the gaze of the centenarians who tell the secret of life. An artistic production that bears witness to the wealth of local communities and which becomes an effective tool, thanks to its particular artistic language, for making rural places known nationally and internationally, even for attracting travelers and new homes.

To do this, the strongest and most solid ties are found, those that bind to places and people, for a future made up of "remaining", belonging, commitment, in those small countries suitable for hosting new residences that seek quality of life and of work before anything else. Sandro Murtas, president of BS 1879 "Precisely in their ability to generate a collective Future, the Marghine Singing Groups have shared the desire to use a new, different, modern language, such as that of video art, which "says without speaking", which transports and includes without forcing, which allows anyone to find what, still today, animates us in the remainder, in the participation, in the desire to be present and participate in the fate of a Territory and a Community. With this vision, Centenarians' talks about the future of social relations in the community and the role that singing groups play and can play as protagonists of culture, life and livability in our countries. Not to be missed. An introspective journey, through images and melodies, accompanies the viewer in a relationship between generations in a non-place, which is the heart of Sardinia, telling what makes people the way they are, proudly present in the local communities.

The premiere of the film is on 4 March 2023 at 18:00, the second at 19:00 at the Filigosa Pavilion – Ex Caserma Mura in Macomer.
