Carolyn Smith is also among the thousands of Italians who have been receiving their third dose of Covid vaccine since yesterday.

The choreographer and judge of “Dancing with the stars” has been fighting breast cancer since 2015 and is therefore part of the category that must undergo further injection at this stage to strengthen the effectiveness of the serum.

The 61-year-old British woman received her dose at the vaccination hub in Villorba (Treviso) in front of the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, and the extraordinary commissioner for the Covid Emergency, General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo.

"You have to get vaccinated - he said - if you want to feel really well and really start living again, because we have spent a truly drastic year and a half. We must go on and everyone must take responsibility. I have always done this".

"I am always on the front line to help others - he continues -; we must not be afraid of the vaccine. We are in a phase in which we do not yet know when Covid will disappear. I want to live, I want to go out, I want to work, I want to embrace people, take off the mask. This is freedom for me. It is a duty for any citizen - he concludes - to get vaccinated, for himself and to protect others. I felt safer with the two doses, now with the third it will be better ".
