Carlo Taveccio died this morning.
The former president of the Football Federation, a position held from 2014 to 2017, was 79 years old.
In his managerial career he was also president of the National Amateur League.
The funeral will be celebrated on Monday in Ponte Lambro.
After Italy led by Ventura failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, he resigned as president of the FIGC, a position he held from 11 August 2014 to 20 November 2017. He had been head of the national LND since 1999.
