The special appointment at the paleontological museum of Carbonia was a success last night thanks to the seminar on its roles in the naturalistic museum in scientific research. The Martel has revealed all its extraordinary abilities and potential thanks to this event organized by the University of Cagliari.

That it was a magical world was already evident from the entrance with the cast of a gigantic T-Rex, the remains of two mammoths and hundreds of fossils dating back to half a billion years ago and recently found also at the gates of the city. Thanks also to a boom in visitors, the museum is in fact enriched and has been able to host special meetings with researchers who for years have been working in the field in the discovery of geological and paleontological finds from Sulcis.

It was possible to admire the oldest pieces of the collections, some dated 500 million years, but also recent discoveries made just a stone's throw from Carbonia. The Martel Museum was founded in 1972, it is now in the Great Mine of Serbariu, and the central area of the plan offers mass extinctions and dinosaurs with marine finds, and the complete life-size cast of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
