The farmers' protest does not subside, even in Sardinia .

A mobilization promoted by the Agricultural Studies Center is scheduled for Monday in Cagliari. A protest that will take place in front of the gates of the Regional Department of Agriculture and at the entrance to Argea.

«We only want the 12 thousand Sardinian agricultural companies to receive the aid due and which has not been paid for bureaucratic reasons that are still difficult for us to understand», explain the organizers.

The CSA approved a manifesto which includes 16 requests to the Region and 8 points of claim with the National Government.

«The problem of delayed or failed payments of CAP funds under the responsibility of Argea - we read in a note - and that of payments of compensation under the responsibility of Laore, do not depend on European or national problems, but on local management: therefore the solutions they must be researched and resolved in Sardinia."

The Agricultural Studies Center, explains the board, "has been working for months to find a peaceful solution to the real existing problems".

Now the protest: «The lack of confrontation with the regional politics which is still in office today - accuses the association - we consider it an attempt to escape, turn our backs and abandon the farmers and breeders of Sardinia. We trust that in these hours that separate us from the day of the protest, a positive signal will arrive: on the contrary, we announce that we will intensify the confrontation until the problems are resolved."

Among the proposals of the manifesto is the payment of CAP balances, the first pillar, by 15 February. Then other payments on the Psr and Cst Pac measures, bureaucratic simplifications, approval of a new regional law on the use of civic lands in Sardinia and on concessions and the use of agricultural land to be allocated to alternative energy production.
