Farewell to Camillo Milli, the famous Lombard president in the film “The coach in the ball”.

The actor, aka Camillo Miglior, died at the age of 92 in Genoa, the city where he had lived for years.

Born in Milan, he started acting in the 1950s under the aegis of Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro. He had also acted at the Teatro Stabile in Genoa and alongside Dario Fo.

At the cinema he made his debut in "Girls of today", directed by Luigi Zampa, in 1955. In 1972 he had worked with Francesco Rosi in "The Mattei Case", the following year with Mario Monicelli in "We want the colonels". In 1980 he was in the cast of "Fantozzi contro tutti" and in 1983 of "Fantozzi suffers again".

In 1984 the iconic role of Commendator Borlotti, the president of the battered "Longobarda", coached by Oronzo Canà-Lino Banfi. Among the latest films, "Habemus Papam" directed by Nanni Moretti in 2011. And "You accept miracles" by Alessandro Siani in 2015.

On television, where he began acting from the 1960s, Milli was best known for his role as Ugo Monti in the soap opera CentoVetrine.
