The Calvinian Autumn continues at the Botanical Garden of Cagliari, the program of initiatives set up on the centenary of the birth of the Italian writer. After the success of last Sunday's show proposed by the Cirko Vertigo Foundation and CEDAC Sardinia with the 6tu Collective, we continue on Tuesday 26 September at 5pm with "Homage to Italo Calvino".

It is a collective reading of readings taken from some famous works of the writer , interpreted by the students of the Expressive Reading Laboratory directed by Fausto Siddi on behalf of the ArCoEs Association of Cagliari. Entrance is free, for info and reservations: 328/3054635.

Thursday 28 September at 8pm will be the turn of "Le città invisibili" , a reading-concert organized by the Città di Iglesias concert organization of the text by Italo Calvino with Chiara Vittone on the harp and the voices of Gilberto Ganassi and Mostafa Ghoratolhamid.

The show stages a broad and multicultural vision of the dialogue between East and West, precious in these times of conflict. The East is expressed by the ancient musicality of the Persian language, lent by the master Mostafa Ghoratolhamid to Kublai Kan and to the initial description of each city, which emerges from the mysterious background of his words. The choice of "Cities", six in total, fell on the most evocative, deepest, most beautiful ones.

The choice of Ersilia is particularly significant, evoking Maria Lai's Ulassai, with its links between the houses and the mountains. The reading is accompanied by carefully chosen music that integrates and highlights Calvin's text, an example of lightness, accuracy and precision. The dialogues between Kublai Kan and Marco Polo are surrounded by Persian music. Each city finds its musical scenario in songs that range across the various eras.
