The role of the Island, home of centenarians and one of the five "blue zones" in the world, will be fundamentalThe Minister of Labour, Marina Calderone , on the sidelines of the event "Innovation and Labour: towards the G7 and beyond" underway in Cagliari, recalled that the focus of the reflections is essentially on how work will be carried out in the future, starting from the document approved during the summit of heads of state and government held in Puglia last June.
A central point of the meeting concerns artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the world of work. "The G7 of Labour Ministers has the task of further exploring these issues, developing a program that includes an action plan to accompany the transitions of work, including digital and ecological ones," the minister stressed.
Furthermore, Calderone highlighted the importance of addressing the issue of population aging, which is particularly relevant for the G7 countries. He recalled the role of Sardinia, recognized as one of the five "blue zones" in the world, i.e. areas where the population lives longer. Sardinia, a land of centenarians, thus becomes a symbol for discussing active aging.
Finally, the minister mentioned the Einstein Telescope project, an initiative that the government hopes to carry forward for the future of the Island, demonstrating the commitment of the institutions in promoting progress and technological development.
