"We haven't given up. We want to do well in Cagliari because it's our last away game and because we want to make up for the poor performance in Udine. We'll be facing not just a team but an entire region, and we'll have to perform at our best in every way." This is how Torino coach Roberto D'Aversa introduced the match scheduled for Sunday evening at 8:45 PM at the Unipol Domus.
"We mustn't get distracted by the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Scudetto or by next week's derby. Let's just focus on the match against Cagliari," the Granata coach continued in the press conference, "also because they still have that objective to achieve."
Cholito Simeone will face the Sardinians as a former player: "He deserves everything he's getting because he never holds back. I thought I'd see him in the pre-selection of the 55-man Argentina national team for the World Cup, but he wasn't there," D'Aversa said of the striker, "but he's one of the best I've coached. Who does he play with in Cagliari? I'd say Zapata has a better chance."
