The fourth consecutive goal by Lapadula, in the seventh minute of added time, gave Cagliari a daring 2-2 on the Frosinone field, with a goal by Pavoletti canceled out in the 98th minute for offside.

Liverani surprises again. In defence, Altare and an unedited central duo are off, with Capradossi and Obert, while Di Pardo and Carboni are on the wing. In the middle, Viola is joined by Nandez and Rog, while, on the frontline, Kourfalidis makes his season debut, supporting Lapadula and Luvumbo. The Angolan is starting off on the right foot. First (4') he commits Turati for a corner, then (14') he hits: Carboni throws, Luvumbo burns the home centre-backs, goes around Turati and puts in the first goal conceded by Frosinone to the “Stirpe”.

Cagliari seems to be satisfied and gives way to Grosso's team. Radunovic keeps a good watch on the anything but irresistible shots of Sampirisi and Boloca. But in the 32nd minute Carboni's defensive error on Garritano's pass and Rohden makes it 1-1. In the 38th minute Cagliari were pardoned by Moro who, all alone in front of Radunovic, put up.

In the second half, Frosinone continues to push, but Cagliari controls, even if they can't restart. Liverani inserts Makoumbou and Barreca for Viola and Carboni, but the entry of Insigne is more incisive, who in the 22nd minute invents a diagonal left footed shot that is uncatchable for Radunovic. Cagliari also threw Mancosu and then Deiola and Pavoletti into the fray, but it was Kourfalidis, in the 39th minute, who came close to equalizing with a left foot saved by Turati for a corner. In the 50th minute, when it all seems over, Mazzitelli's ingenuity knocks down Lapadula in the box. Fabbri points to the spot and, in the 52nd minute, Lapadula doesn't forgive and makes it 2-2. A minute later, a lightning counterattack and a goal from Pavoletti. But the joy of a crazy overtaking was extinguished by the Var, which identified Lapadula's offside. It ends 2-2, that's okay.
