Delia, a Romanian with very blond hair, a sweet face, and lace panties with little roses on the sides, a piercing in her belly button and tongue, receives her guests on the second floor of a nondescript building in Is Mirrionis. Ling, a Thai, lives on the first floor in the Fonsarda neighborhood, while Alice, the Brazilian Valkyrie who promises to turn heads, hosts in Pirri.

Delia, Ling, and Alice are some of the more than three thousand women (almost all foreigners) who roam Cagliari and can be contacted on online paid sex sites. From the streets (where only about thirty people remain in the city) to apartments, prostitution in Cagliari is increasingly concentrated in enclosed spaces: homes and B&Bs.

"Invisible" and totally anonymous places, at least on the outside : the number of women prostituting themselves indoors, advertising themselves online, is increasing. Everyone, clients and ladies of the night and day ("because sexual desire has no timetable," says Mirabella, a twenty-year-old Romanian), is at home.

Doing what has always been done, only now it's done within four walls, thanks to the mediation of the internet.
