Cagliari, sit-in by the workers of the Porto Canale: "After the inconclusive negotiations, the dispute must be reopened"
The former employees met in front of the Department of TransportFirst the Regional Council, then the President of the Ports Authority, now the Regional Councilor for Transport Antonio Moro.
The former employees of the Porto Canale continue to ask for future development of the Cagliari hub in an ever-expanding international market and not to lose important economic and employment opportunities.
This morning they met in Cagliari under the council office for a new protest sit-in.
"We ask the commissioner Moro for his political contribution to reopen the dispute after the continuous but inconclusive negotiations to find a concessionaire of the canal port by the president Deiana - explains Ugo Dall'Ora, spokesman for the workers - We need a direct connection with the world market - he underlines - the time is ripe and there are many tools and investments to be intercepted, starting from the Zes, for a relaunch of the airport and to give hope of employment".
