The Primavera rossoblù was received with all the honors and tributes in the Regional Council hall in via Roma in Cagliari. The President of the Council, Piero Comandini, welcomed the players, the coach and the staff, giving them a plaque and the flag of the Quattro Mori: a sign of recognition of the Island for the victory obtained by the team in the Coppa Italia last April 9 against Milan.

"The recovery of Sardinia also passes through sport. The Island needs magical moments, beautiful things. Thank you for the great result achieved" , said Comandini, who in his speech, also highlighted the principles of integration, ambition and perseverance.

"I have long pondered whether or not to confirm this meeting after the grave mourning that has struck us all for the death of the Pontiff. But Pope Francis has always been on the side of young people and sports. He always said: never extinguish the enthusiasm of young people. Today we are celebrating a great sporting victory, but not only that. You are champions also for the behavior you have on the field, because you respect the rules and your opponents, the healthiest values of sport", he added.

The floor was then given to the General Manager of Cagliari Calcio Stefano Melis: «We are keen to raise the name of Sardinia, starting with President Giulini who unfortunately could not attend today but was keen to ensure that this moment was confirmed on the agenda» .

Melis then turned the spotlight on the work that the entire youth sector of the club does every day: «Today we celebrate a victory that has solid roots in the work of years by the youth category, by the individual coaches, by every single individual who brings their own brick. We are honored and proud and we work so that similar occasions can be repeated».

Then the word to coach Fabio Pisacane who did not hide all the satisfaction for what his group achieved and for what he continues to do day after day: «When we were preparing for the final, but during the whole journey and I add every day of work, I explained and explain to the boys what it means to represent Sardinia wearing this shirt. I discovered it ten years ago and I have never left, we savored the feeling of winning a trophy and we knew how much it weighs on this land to see Cagliari win.
