The new Cagliari Calcio Primavera team's journey begins from the heart of their youth academy. With a training camp scheduled for Monday, July 14th at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini, the rossoblù team will kick off the 2025/26 season.

On the bench will be a symbolic face of the club: Francesco Pisano, former captain and Cagliari icon, promoted to coach after years of growth within the youth sector.

Pisano, 38, embodies the Rossoblù identity: having grown up in the youth academy, he wore the Cagliari jersey for over a decade, gaining appearances, experience, and respect. After ending his playing career at Olbia, he embarked on the coaching career with humility and dedication, until he finally received the most important call: to guide the talents of the future.

He will be joined by Alessio Rubicini, assistant coach with a past as a technical assistant in the Rossoblu first team and experience in the coaching departments of clubs such as Arezzo, SPAL, Spezia, and Gubbio. The staff is completed by Stefano Medda, confirmed as technical assistant; Antonio Fais, athletic trainer with a long stint at Cagliari; and Simone Di Franco, goalkeeping coach who returns to the Primavera after a stint between 2020 and 2023.

The first official match will be on August 16th in Naples, on the opening day of the Primavera 1 championship. But the most eagerly awaited event is set for August 26th at the Arena Civica “Gianni Brera” in Milan, where the young rossoblù will challenge Italian champions Inter in the Italian Super Cup, the first trophy up for grabs of the season.
