Part of today's group session for Leonardo Pavoletti. The Cagliari captain has been sidelined for four months following surgery on his left knee at the end of May (just after last season's near-relegation). He's now aiming for a return to the field, with increased training and the possibility of being available to Fabio Pisacane for the first time this season.
Goalkeeper Boris Radunović and striker Zito Luvumbo (both injured) will certainly be absent from Friday's early match at 8:45 PM in Lecce, although they also completed individual training today. The rest of the Cagliari squad began their training session at the Crai Sport Center in the gym with strength work. On the pitch, tactics were focused: positional play, development work, and a themed match. The final part of the session was dedicated to a small-sided match.
Tomorrow's morning session will be followed by Pisacane's press conference at 4:00 PM. Meanwhile, tickets for Cagliari vs. Frosinone, the Coppa Italia Round of 32 match scheduled for next Tuesday at 5:00 PM, are on sale today at 4:00 PM. Tickets are €5 in the stands, €10 in the Distinti and Away Sectors, €15 in the Tribuna Blu, and €20 in the Tribuna Rossa, plus a €2 advance ticket. Under-12s pay €1 in all sectors. The first phase is reserved for Islanders membership holders, while general sales begin tomorrow at 5:00 PM.
