All that was missing was the official announcement, after the early morning landing in Sardinia: Yerry Mina is now a Cagliari player.

He moves from Fiorentina on a permanent basis and has signed a six-month contract that will tie him to the rossoblù colors until 30 June 2024, with the option in favor of the club, which can decide to keep him in the squad for another season.

Central defender, Colombian born in 1994, Mina had arrived in Viola during the summer transfer market session, after having also been sought by Cagliari. In Tuscany, thanks to a major injury, the former Barcelona and Everton player found little space, pushing Fiorentina to facilitate the separation. Now the new adventure in Sardinia: «Experience at an international level», as the rossoblù club announced it, « personality and charisma to strengthen the rossoblù retorguardia . Welcome to Sardinia. Yerry!».
